"Cuisine Traditions and Cooking vessels during the Mamluk period in south Bilad al-sham."

Education:

 

  • 2021- Today: PhD. (in progress) candidate in Islamic Archeology at the Bonn International Graduate School – Oriental and Asian Studies, University of Bonn (Supervisor: Pro. Dr. Bethany J. Walker) And Pázmány Péter Cathol University, Institute of arts (Supervisor: Prof. Miklós Takács) Title of the research: Cuisine Traditions and Cooking vessels during the Mamluk period in south Bilad al-sham.
  • 2017-2019 MA. In Archaeology in Pázmány Péter Catholic University (Title of the research: Medieval pottery in the citadel of Damascus (12th- 18th) supervisor Prof. Major Balázs. (With honors degree).
  • 2011-2015 BA. In Archaeology with an average of 79.58 in Damascus University, Faculty of Arts and Humanities.


Archaeological Work Experience:

 

  • 2015 Participated in the First excavation camp for the students of archaeology that was held in the site of Siea’ (Qanawat) in Syria, Swaida Museum. (Damascus university certificate excavation for 4 weeks).
  • 2016 Participated in the training course First Aids to preserve Syrian Cultural Heritage during and after the Crisis, (Damascus university certificate).
  • 2017 Assistant Lecturer at Damascus University (teaching arts and history in the medieval period).
  • 2019 Associate member of excavations at Al-Marqab castle in Syria with the Syrian-Hungarian mission from Pazmany Peter University headed by Prof. Dr. Major Balazs. (Certificate work for 4 weeks).
  • 2019 Associate member of excavations at Iraqi Kurdistan in Duhok with a German mission from Tubingen University headed by prof. Dr. Paola Sconzo and by prof. Dr. Peter Pfälzner Universitäl (for 9 weeks).
  • 2020 work for 3 months with Tübingen University, in reworking photos of archaeological potteries for the database by Prof. Dr. Peter Pfälzner Universitäl Tübingen.
  • 2021 Associate member in the excavations at Kurdistan -Iraq with German mission from Tübingen University headed by Prof. Dr. Peter Pfälzner. (For 8 weeks).
  • 2021 Associate member in the excavations at Tell Hisban in Jordan with German mission from Bonn University headed by Prof. Dr. Bethany J. Walker (3 weeks).
  • 2021 A certificate from the Unit for professional botanical training, Botanical training at Hisban: (flotation) headed by Prof. Alan Farahani and Prof. Dr. Bethany J. Walker.

 

Grants and Awards:

 

  • 2011-2015 three certificates of the Martyr Bassel al-Assad Award by the Ministry of Higher Education in Syria for the top graduate.
